Way to Heaven or Hell puzzle
You are standing in front of two doors, one door leads to heaven and other leads to hell.
- Two doorkeepers are standing, in front of each door.
- One doorkeeper always tells the truth and other always tells the lie.
- You don’t know who speaks the truth and who speaks the lie.
- You can ask only one question to any doorkeeper, in order to find the way to heaven.
What question you will ask (So that you can know right way to heaven) ?
Solution of way to Heaven or Hell doorkeeper puzzle:
You can approach any doorkeeper and ask “What would the other doorkeeper will say, if I ask him, what is the way to hell”.
- You can ask the above question to any doorkeeper.
- If you ask the question to liar doorkeeper (what will other doorkeeper or truth teller doorkeeper will say, when asked about hell path)
- As truth teller will speak the truth.
- Truth teller will points to right path to hell.
- Liar doorkeeper will speak the lie.
- Liar doorkeeper will point to heaven path (opposite of what truth teller will points)
- If you ask the question to truth teller doorkeeper (what will other doorkeeper or liar doorkeeper will say, when asked about hell path)
- Truth teller doorkeeper knows that other door will always speaks the lie.
- Liar doorkeeper will speak the lie.
- Liar doorkeeper will points to heaven path, if asked about the hell path.
- Truth teller doorkeeper will points to heaven path
You will get the path to heaven, after posing the above question to any doorkeeper.
